Boksburg SPCA receives generous donation

Boksburg SPCA was grateful to receive R14 363-50.

George Rennie, in collaboration with Ange B&B, Bom Apetite restaurant and JHC BeautyQuip, recently hosted a charity event.

The event was held at Bom Apetite in Atlasville, Boksburg, to raise funds for the Boksburg SPCA and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
According to the director of George Rennie, Jo-Anne Ellerbeck, the event was supported by by the Mazda BT-50 Club SA and the GWM Owners Club SA.

“The charity event was a fundraising collaboration to help the organisations dear to our hearts. To complement the great vibe and good memories made by all, the day’s events included a delicious full buffet, live entertainment by Eddie Jorge, auctions, and some photo prop fun,” Ellerbeck.

“We had a great time and raised just over R27 000. There was also a donation box where people could put items like blankets, biscuits, toys, and much-needed food to help shelter animals. All proceeds were split between the two organisations.”

Ellerbeck highlighted that there are still two great prizes up for grabs, including pricey alcohol.
“The winners will be announced on August 1 and contacted telephonically,” said Ellerbeck.

Boksburg SPCA secretary Sue Beadon said: “We would like to give a special thanks for the support. We can only continue to help many animals in our jurisdiction and the society that relies on us because of the community’s support.”
