News Café Boksburg snatches Rosetta Award

This restaurant is among the many industry players who regardless of the country’s then crippling restaurant lockdown never gave up.

News Café Boksburg recently put Boksburg on the national food map when it emerged as the winner of the special RASA Rosetta Award for its excellence and contribution to the survival of the restaurant industry in the country.

The Restaurant Rosetta Awards and Hotel & Hospitality Show Celebration of Restaurants Award was held at the Sandton Convention Centre on May 19.
The Restaurant Rosetta Awards recognise restaurants, suppliers or personalities that strive for service excellence in the restaurant industry. It is recognition of the highest honours for service excellence and overall contribution to the upliftment of the restaurant industry.

The Hotel & Hospitality Show forms part of a dedicated portfolio of events proudly serving the hospitality industry across the Middle East, Africa and Asia. It showcases products, equipment, services and design, for restaurants, cafes, bars, hotels, and food service owners, managers, and operators.

News Café Boksburg managing director, Grant Alexander, who has more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, said he and the team feel honoured to win the award. He added that under the new management there is still more interesting customer-oriented stuff to be unpacked.

“Our hearts are pounding with excitement for emerging the leader of the pack in the industry. With us here, giving our customers the best experience takes priority.
“It is not only about us and the business, but the community we serve too. We also give back to the community through our News Café Cares, a youth empowerment charity initiative,” said Alexander.
He thanked his team, customers, friends and family for their ongoing support and encouragement.
