Employees tied up during Jet Park business robbery

Nobody was injured in the robbery.

Boksburg North SAPS is investigating an armed robbery at Bigfoot Express Freight on April 6.

According to Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube, police were told a man came into the company and tied employees in the warehouse up with shoelaces.

“Later on, more men arrived at the gate, where two security guards were held up. They came with an eight-ton truck, a four-ton truck and a sprinter and used the company’s two forklifts to load pallets containing inverters, solar panels and clothing.

“Seven laptops were taken from the offices, as well as the employees’ cellphones,” said Ramaube.

Ramaube said there were about 20 suspects who entered the company at the back, where they cut the fences.

No injuries were reported and no shots were fired.
