Two-year old reunited with family after hijackers drive off with him

Police are also investigating two cases of theft of motor vehicle after two cars were reported stolen in two separate incidents in Boksburg.

A two-year-old child was recovered and reunited with his family after being in the backseat of a car when it was hijacked next to the Engen garage in Parkdene on April 2.

According to police reports, the mother reported she had just parked her car, a black Audi, in the parking area of the garage when two gunmen approached her.
They aimed a gun at her before jumping into her car and driving off with the child inside.

The car was, however, later found abandoned in an unspecified location in Holomisa, where the child was found safe still inside the car alone.
He was not hurt. Seemingly, the hijackers were driving in another vehicle, before they hijacked the woman’s Audi.
