Good turnout at car boot sale

Vendors thanked the Advertiser for granting them the opportunity to sell their goods.

Vendors said they are happy with the overall turnout at the Boksburg Advertiser’s car boot sale held on March 6 at the Bokkie Park in Southvale Road.

People came in numbers to help themselves to the variety of goods on sale at the different stalls. These include food, second-hand clothes, household items, flowers, accessories and other items.
One of the vendors, Desroy Williams, who sold clothes, said he was excited about the money he made on the day.

“I made more money than I anticipated. I came with my family to enjoy the day, to sell and meet vendors and customers. I made R1 000,” said Williams.
Mike Steveson and his wife, Leigh-Anne, said they came to the car boot sale to sell household items to raise funds for Colour of Love Animal Sanctuary, an NPO that takes care of stray cats.

“We thank the Advertiser for granting us this opportunity to sell at the market,” said Leigh-Anne.
An older couple, Elsie and Johan van der Merwe, said they always come to the car boot sale because they make money and it keeps them busy.

“We are both pensioners and we enjoy this event,” shared Elsie.
The car boot sale is held monthly by the Advertiser in association with the Bokkie Park Craft Market.
