Ramaphosa church donates school shoes

The aim of the initiative is to see children go to school with proper and quality school shoes.

A local church in Ramaphosa informal settlement, Agape Grace Ministries, in partnership with Phakamani Africa, opened their hearts to the children of the community by donating 111 pairs of school shoes.

The initiative was started four years ago by Past Moses Lepele, who has first-hand experience of not having proper school shoes.

“Agape Grace Ministries thanks Bishop Marcus McKnight from Apostolic Temple of Jesus Christ in the United States, Past Leonard Oss from Kingdom Garden Ministries, Ward 42 Clr Tsotang Motloung and Stallion PnP in Ramaphosa.

“A pair of Toughees school shoes can be donated to the church throughout the year. The shoes are handed over annually to the learners in January or the first week of February,” said Lepele.

The church also saw the need to establish a soup kitchen, which now caters for 200 people every Wednesday at the church.

The community is welcome to donate food towards this much-needed initiative that is helping to ensure the well-being of the Ramphosa community.
