B Unique raises R14 800 for cancer survivor

Tsaura, who couldn’t attend the event because he was scheduled for surgery, was diagnosed with breast cancer this year.

In their efforts to tackle the needs of breast cancer survivor Alex Tsaura, Bernodette Venter and Adele Baker hosted a cancer fund-raiser on October 30 for Tsaura’s medical treatment.

The classy event took place at B Unique Salon premises in Boksburg North, where attendees painted the venue pink with their stylish outfits.

Representatives from Machi Filotimo Cancer Project attended the event to educate guests about breast cancer, its signs, symptoms and treatment.

During B Unique’s cancer event in aid of cancer survivor Alex Tsaura are Annet Jordaan, Ashna Jordaan and Karlien Bekker.

Machi Filotimo Cancer Project is a NPC that raises awareness of cancer and supports those diagnosed with cancer.

According to Baker, they decided to raise funds for Tsaura, who is one of the Machi Filotimo Cancer Project cancer warriors, to assist him with funds for his medical treatment due to his financial constraints.

Venter said because they have a heart for cancer survivors, they decided to help out despite them not knowing Tsaura personally. She shared that R14 800 was raised.

Youngsters also showed up at B Unique’s cancer fund-raising event: Nicola, Nistine and Naikeisha Rudman.

Tsaura, who couldn’t attend the event because he was scheduled for surgery, was diagnosed with breast cancer this year.

The 34-year-old said he was shocked when he found out he had breast cancer because he thought men couldn’t get breast cancer.
