Man stoned to death in an alleged mob justice incident in Boksburg

When police arrived on scene, it appears the said mob had already dispersed.

Boksburg police have launched a manhunt for a mob after a man was recently stoned to death and his body left lying on the southbound carriageway of Main Reef Road, between Lilianton and Angelo informal settlement.

Preliminary investigation by police suggested the deceased, identified as 31-year-old Paizo Gumbi, was murdered by a group of community members.
Although it’s still unclear why the victim was targeted by the mob, the police believe there may have been more behind the killing.
