SA Home Loans donates vegetable seedlings to Windmill Park school

The school thanked the Stark team for its generous donation.

In ensuring the learners of Thulasizwe Primary School are fed nutritious organic food, SA Home Loans (Stark team) donated vegetable seedlings to the school on September 8.

Armed with garden tools, members of the Stark team wasted no time as they got down to the business of the day of planting various vegetable seedlings in the school’s garden.

Learners engaged in hands-on nutrition learning when they were taught how to plant these seeds.

SA Home Loans property sales consultant Alice Motloug said in line with Heritage Month, they decided to extend their helping hand to the school’s feeding programme, which feeds needy learners.

“This was the first school we targeted. We hope to reach out to more schools in the surrounding areas. Our vision as a company is to make a difference in one home at a time. So by donating these seeds, we are giving back to the community.”

The school’s principal, Peter Moropa, thanked the team for its generous donation.

“Such donations are encouraging to us as a school as they give us moral support to continue with our garden project, which supports the school’s feeding scheme. The vegetable seedlings will go a long way because our feeding scheme feeds almost all the children in the school who are from impoverished backgrounds,” she said.
