Human skeletal remains found in an open field

A member of the public made the grisly discovery and alerted the police.

The Dawn Park police have opened a case of murder following the discovery of human skeletal remains in an open field near the Rooikraal Farms.

A member of the public made the grisly discovery on September 15 and alerted the police.
According to Dawn Park SAPS Capt Dan Mahlangu, the police investigation indicated the person, believed to be a male, could have been stabbed to death.

“The identity of the deceased person is not yet known,” said Mahlangu.
