Vehicle crashes into stationary truck on N12

Motorists driving along the N12 towards Kempton Park were stuck in traffic on Wednesday afternoon following an accident, which happened near Gillooly’s interchange.

The accident involved a truck and a red Citroën vehicle, which crashed into the back of the truck.

According to bystanders, a stationary truck, which allegedly had a breakdown on the busy highway, was crashed into when a Citroën collided with the truck from the back. Bystanders shared the driver of the Citroën, a woman, was transported to the hospital after sustaining injuries.

Thabiso Makgato of the EMPD confirmed the accident but said there were no fatalities.
