Seen here are some of the veterinarians that came through to assist the Boksburg SPCA during its spay day on April 27.

The Boksburg SPCA is reminding the public about its spay day which will take place on Heritage Day, September 24.

The spay day is aimed at shining a spotlight on the importance of preventing unwanted kittens and puppies.

Prices range from:
Dog spay- R650
Dog neuter – R550
Cat spay- R450
Cat neuter- R400

The Boksburg SPCA’s terms and conditions
• You must live in a household earning less than R15 000 per month – proof of income required or have SASSA or pensioner card.
• You must be able to transport your animal to and from the Boksburg SPCA on the day.
• Booking is on a first-come-first-served basis.
• To book you need to come into the Boksburg ASPCA offices with proof of income or email reception@boksburgspca.co.za for a booking form.
• Payment upfront when booking.
• R300 surcharge – for any female on heat or heavily pregnant.
• No show – no refund.
