Wifield Park celebrates turquoise month for the elderly

The Witfield Park Retirement Village recently celebrated turquoise month to create awareness of the elderly, their needs and how to support seniors in the community.
The awareness campaign called Turn turquoise for the elderly ran from May 15 to June 15.
Witfield Park lifestyle consultant Monique van der Westhuizen said: “If you drove past Witfield Park at the beginning of the month, you would have seen maintenance, care and lifestyle staff members playing upbeat music, handing out balloons with pamphlets and greeting all community members who drove past.
“Furthermore, the trees surrounding our village were wrapped in this vibrant colour, making people stop and ask questions; drawing their attention to Witfield Park showing that we support senior citizens.”
