Police hunt men who shot Atlasville woman during home invasion

The robbers also ransacked the house, taking valuable items worth thousands of rands.

Boksburg police are appealing for public help to track down the gang of criminals who shot and injured a woman during a home invasion in Atlasville.

The 34-year-old had been discharged following the attack on June 3.

According to the police report, the woman arrived at her home from work at about 04:30 to find three men inside her house in Atlasville.

“The intruders demanded her car keys. She refused before one of the men fired a shot which hit her in the cheek. Thereafter, the robbers ransacked the house, taking valuable items, including a TV set, an Apple tablet and a PlayStation,” explained Boksburg North police spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube.

Boksburg North police are investigating a case of house robbery and attempted murder.
