Boksburg SAPS social crime prevention, office of the district, Graphite Security, community safety, Boksburg crime prevention, CPF and African Bank held a youth drive campaign in Boksburg on Youth Day.
From 09:30 the stakeholders visited areas such as Blue Sky and Jerusalem informal settlements.
Youngsters in the areas were addressed about substance abuse. Furthermore, they were encouraged to stay away from criminal activities, seek professional help when experiencing difficulties in their lives and urged to join the Youth Desk.
Food and drinks were handed out to the community members after the event
.According to Boksburg SAPS spokesperson Sgt Ntsako Ledwaba, the community responded well to the programme.
