The Boksburg North SAPS is investigating the rape and robbery of a 43-year-old woman in Witfield on the morning of April 7.
The woman told the police an unknown man approached her with a broken beer bottle in his hand as she was walking down Solomon Street, on her way to take a taxi to Boksburg Home Affairs.
“She alleged the man threatened her with the broken bottle and told her in fluent Zulu to cooperate or else she will get hurt.
“He instructed her to walk further into the veld and then robbed her of cash and a cellphone and raped her, ” said Boksburg North SAPS Const Justice Ramaube.
The victim opened a case of rape and robbery at the Boksburg North SAPS.
