#Lockdown: Where were you a year ago?

Readers are invited to share their Covid-19 and lockdown stories with us

At midnight on March 26, South Africans will have been in the throes of Covid-19 for a year.

Everyone has been affected, with our lives nowhere near the same as they were in February 2020.

The Advertiser invites our readers to tell us about their journey through the pandemic and how their lives have changed since lockdown took effect at midnight on that dreaded day last year. There are bound to be stories of retrenchments, the loss of family members and financial struggle, but there are also stories of hope, of kindness in Covid-19 and of rising above adversity against all odds. We consider what our matriculants of 2020 endured and who are just now beginning to see the incredible results they produced, amid the enormous disruption the pandemic brought to the academic year.

Tell us where you were a year ago and where you are today and how Covid-19 has affected your life.

Let’s share the joys, sorrows, triumphs and lessons learnt from Covid-19. Send your stories to boksburgadvertiser@caxton.co.za with “Covid Story” in the subject line.
