Schools, send us your matric results and inspirational stories

We will feature matrics who achieved five distinctions and more and welcome stories of hope which emerged from the school year 2020

Boksburg schools are reminded to brag with their matric results by submitting these to the newspaper for publication.

We also welcome inspiring stories about matric achievements amid Covid-19 disrupting the school year last year.

This is what we need:
• Matrics who achieved five and more distinctions.

• Photos should be at least 1MB big and sent as an attachment in JPEG format.

• Full name of learner

• Subjects in which they achieved distinctions and the percentage mark

• A comment from the principal about the matric results.

While it is preferable the results are sent to the newspaper by the school, we will consider submissions from parents.

Send your matric results to boksburgadvertiser.co.za with “Matric Results” in the subject line.

Independent Education Board (IEB) matric results will be released on February 19 and the minister of basic education, Angie Motshekga, will release the 2020 matric results on February 22.

Learners will be able to get their results the following day (February 23) via SMS, USSD, newspapers or at their examination centres.
