Makopano Risk Solutions recently made a generous donation to New Beginnings and Liqui Moly Superhero Academy, formerly known as New Beginnings Day Care Centre.
The local security company donated items such as toys, board games, bedding, clothing and shoes that could fill four large trailers.
Makopano collected the items from community members during its charity collection drive in Sunward Park, Elspark, Freeway Park, Parkrand, and Van Dyk Park from December 7 to 11.
According to Makopano’s armed response manager Gustav Holl, the drive was a success.
“The smiles we saw on the children’s faces after handing over the donation is something we will cherish for a long time,” he said.
He expressed his gratitude to everybody who supported the initiative by making a donation.
“We also gave a complimentary ice cream to community members who made a contribution,” he added.
Esmarelda van der Merwe, principal of the Liqui Moly Superhero Academy, thanked the security company for the warm gesture.
