Hospice says thanks to the community

The NPO says the many acts of kindness, great and small, have made a huge impact

Marketing and media liaison Jonquil Siepman of Hospice East Rand writes:

2020 has been a challenging year and it has not been kind to many people.

Lives and livelihoods have been taken, people have often had to live in isolation and anxiety levels have been at an all-time high.

This year has not been without its lessons. We have learnt how small acts of kindness have a ripple effect, we have learnt to appreciate the small things that we perhaps took for granted in the past and we are very grateful for our amazing community and the support they have shown which has carried us through this year, despite their own challenges.

While we have supported and carried patients and their families this year, you too have supported and carried Hospice East Rand through this year.

Your acts of kindness great and small have made a huge impact for us as an NPO and your generosity enables us to continue our services of care for people with life limiting illnesses and their families into 2021. Thank you.

From all of us at Hospice East Rand, we wish you happy holidays and a wonderful festive season.

Jonquil Siepman of Hospice East Rand.
