Boksburg Correctional Services commemorates the World Aids Day
Educational pamphlets were handed out to attendees
The Boksburg Correctional Services commemorated World Aids Day on December 1 in partnership with Life Line and The Department of Health.
Officials from Boksburg management organised an awareness campaign which provided education on HIV and Aids, gender-based violence and femicide.
Educational pamphlets were also handed to officials, inmates and guests.
According to Sello Modise, Boksburg Correctional Services spokesperson, officials were engaged on how to deal with the scourge of GBV in their home, work and community environments.
“Officials were further informed of how to practice safe sex in order to prevent contracting sexually transmitted diseases and reducing the transmission of HIV/Aids,” Modise said.
