Reiger Park Miss Teen Universe SA finalist determined to inspire others

Winning this competition would mean a lot as I could use the platform to inspire young girls

Multi-talented Lerice Lyle from Reiger Park is a Miss Teen Universe South Africa finalist and is determined to use this platform to spread hope.

“I’m so excited to be a finalist,” she said.

The 20-year-old highlighted that she started the Relief for a Day campaign, where she gives food to homeless people in the community once a week.

“Winning this competition would mean a lot as I could use the platform to inspire young girls.”

Soon after her birth, Lerice lived in a children’s home before her aunt obtained custody. Two years later she was raised by her grandparents.

“Hence, I want to raise awareness about how many children are in homes. I want these children to understand where you are now is not where you are going,” the finalist explained.

Lerice added she aspires to participate in the Miss South Africa pageant in the future.

“This dream was inspired by Rolene Strauss, former Miss World,” Lerice explained.
