Respected sports journalist S’busiso Mseleku dies

He is survived by his wife and five children

Respected sports journalist S’busiso Mseleku (59) has died.

Mseleku, who wrote insightful and intriguing soccer opinion pieces as a Sport24 columnist, succumbed to Covid-19-related complications at a hospital in Vereeniging on August 17.

The news was confirmed on a social media platform by family friend Duma Ndlovu.

Mseleku’s résumé includes stints at the Sowetan, Drum Magazine as sports editor, City Press also as sports editor, SABC Sports and a number of other broadcasting channels.

Before his untimely death, Mseleku left his post as City Press sports editor and recently started his own digital platform dubbed Mseleku Sports.

He is survived by his wife and five children.
