Lazarus Legacy Foundation donates to three organisations
part from distributing the knitted items packs, the foundation also distributed personalised diaries with inspirational messages, first-aid kits and sanitisers
The Lazarus Legacy Foundation recently donated knitted items, such as beanies, scarves, shoulder and knee blankets, neck warmers and fingerless gloves, to St Francis Care Centre, Maria’s Home (multipurpose care centre) and to the Leratong Shelter for Abused Women and Children, in Springs.
They also distributed personalised diaries with inspirational messages, as well as first-aid kits and sanitisers.
According to Kivasha Moodley from the Lazarus Legacy Foundation, with the assistance they got from Maria, who is a pensioner they started a project called Knitting with Love.
The Good Samaritan women volunteered to knit for their organisation and after some time eight more women also joined and started knitting these wool items.
The foundation promotes uplifting human dignity, equal access to all services and solutions that produce a vibrant community of conscious people. It is driven by four principles – education, community building, health and welfare and delivering health and economic development.
