According to Boksburg North police spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube, when members from the crime prevention unit were executing their duties around Pretoria Road recently they noticed a white truck with a trailer.
There was also a car parked next to the truck.
“When Sgt Muleleki Jozana, Const Sabelo Nhlozi and Const Divani Sharneck approached the vehicles to see what could be the problem, the two men who were sitting inside the truck jumped out and ran away,” Ramaube said. “Both men where cornered by police officers.”
“When searched police found them in possession of a signal jammer, three cellphones, a crowbar, three pairs of gloves and keys. Further investigations revealed the truck and trailer were hijacked; they are linked to a case at Brakendowns Police Station.”
Both suspects were detained at the Boksburg North Police Station.
