More local schools close due to positive Covid-19 cases

Dawn Park Primary School and Villa Liza Secondary School closed its gates on July 6 and 7, respectively, following confirmed cases of Covid-19 at these schools.

According to a letter circulated by Dawn Park Primary, a Grade Seven learner and a teacher-tested positive for Covid-19.

The letter stated the situation was under control and the school has been in contact with the SGB and the IDSO.

Classes were suspended from July 6 and will resume on July 20.

Meanwhile, at Villa Liza Secondary a teacher-tested positive for Covid-19.

According to the principal, Sylvia Lepheana, classes were suspended on July 7 and they will resume today (July 13).
