Two Boksburg Civic Centre staff positive for Covid-19

Boksburg Clinic and Civic Centre were forced to temporarily suspend services

Staff members at the Boksburg Civic Centre and the clinic have tested positive for Covid-19, prompting the metro to disinfect and deep-clean the facility, including the customer care offices on the ground floor.

The metro has not yet replied to our email requesting information on the matter, but residents told this publication they were on June 25 unable to access services in the ground floor offices as they were temporarily closed.

A team from a company called Scientology was on June 25 spotted disinfecting and cleaning the entire ground floor, including the section where customers are paying rates and taxes. The word on the street was that a staff member in the section and the clinic tested positive for the virus.

Ward 32 councillor Marius de Vos said he has been inundated with complaints from frustrated residents who were complaining they were unable to receive critical services in the customer care offices, including the finance department.
