Enjoy a Beautiful Noise (and other Neil Diamond hits) in your living room on Sunday
Audiences will be able to enjoy well-known songs such as Sweet Caroline, I Am I Said, Kentucky Woman and of course Beautiful Noise
At the age of six, Alwyn Oberholster discovered his passion for music and thus started his singing career.
After participating in numerous singing competitions and touring the pub scene extensively, Alwyn decided to enter a different market.
In Beautiful Noise, Alwyn pays tribute to the legendary Neil Diamond and audiences will be able to enjoy well-known songs such as Sweet Caroline, I Am I Said, Kentucky Woman and of course Beautiful Noise.
Alwyn is popular and well-known amongst his fans for his brilliant performance of the older hits by singers such as Billy Joel, Neil Diamond, Allen Jackson, the Staccatos, the Bee Gees and many more, but Neil Diamond remains his favourite.
“I love Neil Diamond’s music and I know every song he ever wrote. And my voice fits the Neil Diamond songs too like a glove. I’m not trying to sing like Neil Diamond – there’s only one Mr. Diamond – so I give my own interpretation to the songs,” said Alwyn.
Beautiful Noise will be broadcast live on Sunday, June 28, at 5pm as one of Lefra’s Cellar Concerts.
Tickets are only R70 per household and because tickets for the whole family are so cheap, there is also a donation option if you book, to help artists in South Africa.
