Covid-19: Reiger Park Police taking precautions seriously

Police Minister Bheski Cele recently announced that hundreds of SAPS members have tested positive for the pandemic and a few of them have succumbed to the virus

To protect themselves and help mitigate the spread of Covid-19, the Reiger Park Police are following precautionary health measures and staff members are allocated personal protective equipment during the virus outbreak.

The precautionary measures being implemented at the police station to ensure the safety of their staff and visitors include social distancing where possible, mandatory wearing of masks, medical screening and hand sanitising.

Any person, including staff, visitors and service provider entering the police station are required to undergo a screening process before entering the premises.

Members of the CPF community patrollers are assigned to ensure that all persons entering or present in the facility adhere to the regulations, such as following the strict personal protective equipment protocols at all times.

Late last month, Police Minister Bheski Cele announced that hundreds of SAPS members have tested positive for the pandemic and a few of them have succumbed to the virus. Some police stations were reportedly forced to close after members tested positive.
