Beware illegal use of Advertiser’s logo by scamsters on Facebook, Whatsapp

The Advertiser is in no way implicated in this and confirms our logo has been used fraudulently

Facebook users are advised of a recent incident during which a person created a fake Facebook account using someone else’s identity and photographs, and then the Boksburg Advertiser logo as their profile photo on Whatsapp.

This person allegedly tried to blackmail the person whose identity they stole by threatening to expose pornographic photos of them. Whatsapp communication between the parties was exchanged.

The Advertiser is in no way implicated in this and confirms our logo has been used fraudulently.
