The Boksburg North SAPS, with the assistance of the CPF and local security companies, nabbed a 30-year-old suspect in Impala Park after he was found in possession of stolen gate motor batteries on April 21.
According to Const Justice Ramaube, Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson, the suspect was seen walking down a street at night with a school bag and the CPF and security company members stopped.him.
“He was searched and four black gate motor batteries were found.”

The suspect failed to give a satisfactory explanation about where the batteries came from and what he was doing with them.
“The items are presumed stolen. The security companies and CPF alerted the police who effected the arrest and detained the suspect,” Ramaube explained.
The Boksburg North SAPS’ preliminary investigations revealed the suspect could be linked to a spree of burglaries in the Impala Park area recently.
Ramaube said the suspect was charged with the possession of suspected stolen properties and will appear in court soon.
