Home of Chris Hani will be officially opened as a heritage site, family museum

The State of the City Address continued as normal amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The Dawn Park home of the late anti-apartheid struggle stalwart Chris Hani will be officially opened as a heritage site and family museum on April 10.

This was announced during the State of the City Address held at the OR Tambo Government Precinct in Germiston on March 18.

In his speech, mayor Mzwandile Masina said that the opening of the museum in Dawn Park would present new tourism and economic opportunities for those living in the neighbourhood as well as the metro.
