The Boksburg North police and community police forum (CPF) members held a drug awareness campaign in Boksburg North, with a march that mainly focused on First Street and Cason Road on March 12.

Holding massive placards with messages such as “Drugs trade prohibited in SA” and “Stop using drugs”, participants sent a strong message to drug dealers and users to stop the practice that is “killing the nation”.

Members of the community in the area applauded the efforts of the participants, with some even joining in the march.

According to Boksburg North police spokesperson, Const Justice Ramaube, the reason they targeted the two streets was because they were mostly problematic drug peddling areas.
