Overhead road sign on Rondebult Road repaired

The City initially anticipated to complete the job only by mid-February.

The loose overhead sign on Rondebult Road has been fixed after the Advertiser informed the metro about the state of affairs.

It appears the sign that posed a danger to motorists using the road was fixed by the metro during the weekend (February 1 and 2).

The sign was loose for a long time before it was repaired.

According to Nhlanhla Cebekhulu, metro spokesperson, part of the sign was removed on December 16.

“The City then started the supply chain management process to procure replacement of the sign,” said  Cebekhulu.
