Women followed from bank, robbed of large amount of money

A case of robbery with a firearm has been opened at the Boksburg North SAPS.

Police have launched a manhunt for two suspects who allegedly robbed a 29-year-old woman and her colleague of a cash amount of R30 311 and a cellphone on January 16.

At the time they were returning from a bank in North Rand Road.

According to Boksburg North spokesperson, Const Justice Ramaube, the 29-year-old alleged to have parked their vehicle at a parking lot at a local law firm where they work when suddenly they spotted a Renault vehicle parked next to them.

“It is alleged two men came out of the vehicle and pointed a firearm at them. They took the cash before fleeing the scene,” Ramaube said.

No one was reported injured.
