Roadshow and high visibility crime awareness campaign held

The main objectives of the event were to sensitise the community about crime and to reassure them the police are here for them this festive season.

Christmas came early this year when Mamba Security collaborated with the Boksburg North SAPS and EPMD for their Christmas Drive recently.

“The Sector One manager of Boksburg North SAPS, Sgt Martin Rikhotso, invited all sector managers of Sector Two, Three and Four, as well as the social crime coordinator, communicator, second-hand goods coordinator and security clusters for a roadshow and Christmas party motorcade,” said Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube.

“It started in Allan Street in Impala Park and made their way to crèches in the vicinity before proceeding to Witfield. We also visited the Primrose region.”

“In our efforts to engage with the community, we also handed sweets out at the crèches we visited and took pictures with the children.

Danica Savvi from Mamba Security said: “The Christmas Drive Initiative is an annual charity event that Mamba Security organises to share the Christmas spirit.

“Mamba Security and our staff go on a parade around town to deliver sweets to the surrounding schools in the local area,” said Savvi.

“The children of the community get a chance to meet Santa and get a pack of sweets as a present. We thank the Boksburg North SAPS, EMPD and everybody who contributed to the success of the event.”
