Kuselo is in need of the community’s support this festive season

Kuselo works hand in hand with the SAPS Boksburg North and other relevant organisations to support and assist children in need.

Kuselo Child and Youth Care Services is still going from strength to strength.

They temporarily provide a stable home for babies and young children.

Kuselo is a service provider for abused and neglected children who are removed from their homes through statutory processes such as the welfare/SAPS while the investigation is pending for a period of 90 days.

Thereafter the child will be placed into a foster care system or with a respective care system if qualified and screened through the welfare and approved by the courts.

Amanda Coetzee, founder of Kuselo, said that they are in need of donations for the safe house.

“The donations will carry us through the festive season until companies reopen in the new year. Any donations of food, clothing, stationary, nappies, wet wipes and Christmas gifts are welcome,” said Coetzee.

“We require a mini bus/kombi to transport children to and from school, clinic, court and events as we do not have a vehicle. If persons can assist it will ensure that children are cared for and able to overcome their trauma quicker as we will be able to transport them to home visits, do family intervention and reunification sessions.

“This vehicle will aid us tremendously.”

Coetzee said they appreciate all the sponsors and donations that was made throughout the year.
