Community choir for Windmill Park in the pipeline

Any committed, passionate and determined choristers living in surrounding areas, such as Villa Liza, Dawn Park and Sunward Park, from the age of 18 to 50 are welcome to join the choir.

In an effort to make a difference in the community through music, Richard Moroasoi Nonyana is inviting to the public to join him in the establishment of a choir in the vicinity of Windmill Park.

Nonyana is a music director and vocal coach of choirs at schools and churches.

“My passion for choral music inspired me to establish Windmill Chorus. I also believe that music could make a difference in young people’s lives as they can now focus on music instead of focusing on things such as crime and drugs,” said Nonyana.

“We are close to establishing the choir, but we need a bigger space to occupy choristers. I also need people with warm hearts to accommodate my choir for rehearsal.

“Furthermore, I need people to assist me for my choir to grow even more and sustain it in the music fraternity, be it by funding or anything similar, because that can soothe my heart and make a huge impact within the choir.”

Nonyana believes that the choir can be a success.

“It surely will be a success because I am very content when it comes to coaching a choir.

“Music is a solution to every problem. For example, each and every person every day before getting ready for work or school listens to music or even sings on the way to work or school. It plays a huge role in our daily lives.”
