The victim was asleep at her home on Cedar Avenue in Plantation.
She woke up to find a crowbar-carrying burglar searching her wardrobe apparently looking for valuable items at about 2.30am on November 25.
The man, described as a black male, took the victim’s cellphone, pulled down his trousers and attempted to rape the woman who was at the time pleading with him not to do it.
Although the assailant seemed to have shown pity, he touched the victim’s private parts with his fingers while requesting that he be kissed by the victim.
The intruder fled the scene with a TV set and the cellphone.
