Aspiring models from Boksburg and surrounding areas are invited to enter for Miss Boksburg 2020.
Entries may be submitted online on www.missboksburg.co.za and entries close on January 30 next year.
This pageant is hosted every year in August. The journey starts from January up until the last day. Activities such as photo shoots, rehearsals, going to the gym and getting involved in charity work takes place every year.
This year more than 30 aspiring models competed for the Miss Boksburg crown at the Boksburg North Centenary Hall during the grand finale.
The results are as follow:
- Nadine Blouw walked away with the Miss Boksburg crown.
- Miss Boksburg Teen is Ayanda Maepane.
- Miss Boksburg Boodylicious is Chrissy Matlala.
- Miss Boksgurg Junior Winner is Viandré Fasasie.
Winning prizes to the value of R20 000 included a cash prize, facial products, fashion vouchers, trip vouchers, Figures Models Boksburg scholarship and a Becky casting scholarship.
According to Faith Gounder, the founder and CEO of Miss Boksburg, the pageant is a beauty with brains and purpose contest.
“The pageant helps models to achieve confidence, building leadership skill, and societal awareness, inspiring others through their example, heightening and enhancing interpersonal skill,” said Gounder.
