Doctor robbed at his consulting room

These are some of the robberies recently reported to the Boksburg Police Station.

A doctor was robbed of money and valuable goods when a gunman attacked his surgery in Bank Street, Boksburg Central, on November 14.

The complainant told police he was in the consulting room when his two assistants walked in with a stranger he initially thought was a patient.

All of a sudden the man was joined by his accomplices and they aimed a firearm at the victims, telling them it’s a robbery and that they should cooperate.

They took cellphones and money from the doctor’s pocket and his wedding ring. From one of the assistants, they stole engagement rings and grabbed the doctor’s laptop, before fleeing the scene.

• Another surgery in Parkdene was hit by robbers on November 18. Two African males pretending to be clients entered the surgery on Van Wyk Louw Drive and held the staff at gunpoint before stealing their cellphones and jewellery.

• A gang of robbers forced their way into a residential property in Parkdene and held the occupants at gunpoint before ransacking the property on November 15. The victims, a couple, were at about 3.23am awakened by a commotion at their flat in the complex located on the corner of Riverbend Drive and Rondebult Road.

Three men appeared and one of them aimed a gun at the couple, instructing them to keep quiet. The thugs then stole two Samsung cellphones, two laptops, a handbag, perfumes, jewellery, two TV sets and car keys.

• On November 14, a gang of about eight men armed with a gun and knives entered a residential property next to the railway line in Comet and stole a sound system, two cellphones, seven pairs of shoes, a hair clipper and clothes.

• Also in Comet, a gang of thugs forced their way into a residential property and sexually assault one of the occupants before stealing three cellphones and R520 on November 16.
