Bikers of Hope sell hundreds of cupcakes to support worthy cause

The organisation’s next aim is to raise awareness and funds for families in need of medical assistance.

Bikeshop Boksburg hosted a Bikers of Hope fund-raising event in aid of Cupcakes 4 Kids with Cancer foundation recently.

Approximately 600 delicious cupcakes were sold at only R10 per cupcake, and community members did not hesitate to support this worthy cause.

Volunteers baked and decorated the cupcakes. All proceeds raised will go to the children’s cancer foundation.

There were activities for the whole family to enjoy during the day, including jumping castles and face painting. There were also food trucks selling boerewors rolls.

Ms Africa 2018 made an appearance to show her support for the children.

“On behalf of the cancer foundation, we would like to thank all those who took the time to come and support our event,” said Janine de Villiers, finance and insurance assistant at the Bikeshop Boksburg.

“Such events cannot happen without the community’s support.”

“We thank our sponsors, Dr Sidonija Madjarevic, JMD Superbike Performance, Motomate, XS Drift, Design Express, Thomas Knowles Plumbing Wholesalers, Ms Africa 2018, Bikeshop Boksburg, Immortal Guardians MCC, The Same Shack, Standard Bank, Vapssa and all the ladies who worked tirelessly, baking cupcakes for our event.

“We are grateful for all the generosity and for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children living with cancer.

“Ms Africa 2018 Angie Bryant and our little angel Tiffany, who is having her eye operation next month, also celebrated the day with us.”
