The Reiger Park police have arrested a 19-year-old teenager in connection with the recent murder of a 13-year-old boy whose body was found dumped in a dam.
According to police reports, the accused and his accomplice allegedly kidnapped the victim from Angelo informal settlement and assaulted him before he was dumped in the dam between Commissioner Street and Angelo informal settlement.
The accused has made his first court appearance on October 23 at the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court. The matter was postponed and the suspect was remanded in custody pending his second court appearance.
It is believed that his alleged accomplice had since been killed in a suspected mob justice in Angelo informal settlement following the murder of the 13-year-old.
