• A driver of a taxi was left stranded when his uncle’s minibus taxi was stolen while parked in Commissioner Street in the Boksburg CBD.
In his statement to the police, the driver said he parked the Kombi in the roadside parking at about 5.30pm and went inside a nearby pub.
When he returned to the spot about 30 minutes later, the vehicle was gone. Among the items that were inside the vehicle is R10 000 in cash, two passports and an ID.
• Another vehicle, a Toyota Etios, was stolen outside the Boksburg City Stadium on October 12. The driver parked the car in the parking lot and went inside the stadium at about 9am.
It was only at noon when he exited the stadium that he discovered the car was gone.
