The newly appointed manager has 16 years’ experience within the SPCA. Her recent appointment was at the Benoni SPCA, where she worked for four years.

Finnemore has passion for animal welfare and the prevention of animal cruelty, as she places a strong emphasis on bringing animal abusers to justice.

Boksburg SPCA chairperson Willie du Plessis said Finnemore will be responsible for enhancing the current good reputation of the society, as well as strengthening and promoting the society in areas such as animal welfare, PR and media support, community outreach, school education and sterilisations.

“We are excited to have a new manager on board as she will bring a fresh perspective and approach to community relationship development, staff training and financial management.

“Finnemore, who began her SPCA career at Boksburg SPCA in 2002, has matured into an accomplished manager with a strong track record and we look forward to benefiting and growing as a society under her leadership,” said du Plessis.
