Enter drawing competition to win amazing prizes

The competition is now open and it will run until October 31.

Do you love drawing and are you still in primary school? If you’ve answered yes, then listen up.

The Animal Anti-Cruelty League is hosting the primary school poster competition aimed at enhancing the skills of learners.

All Gauteng primary school learners are invited to show their support for animal welfare by entering the competition.

How to enter

Draw or paint a picture showing ways in which people are compassionate and kind to animals, care for them, and touch their lives in helpful ways.

Remember, it’s not all about a pretty picture, but about a picture with a message. A slogan or title may also help in making your message clear. A good poster grabs the attention.

You are welcome to use any medium, paint/pastel/ink/crayon etc., on either A2 or A3 paper.

Be creative, keep your picture bold, striking and original and have fun.

Enter in one of these categories and stand a chance of winning:

  • Category 1: Grade One and Two: First place prize R2 000
  • Category 2: Grade Three, Four and Five: First place prize R2 000
  • Category 3: Grade Six and Seven: First place prize R2 000
  • School Prize: The school with the top donation will win a Canon Laser multifunctional printer valued at R11 000.

Each category has stacks of merit prizes from AnimalTalk magazine, Canon, Gold Reef City Theme Park, Cartoon Candy, Dean’s Stationers, Cat Box Pet Hyper, Artjamming, PVM Nutritional Sciences and Roll-Egoli Roller Rink.

Don’t forget to clearly print on the back of your picture:

  • Your name and surname
  • Your age, grade and entry category (1/2/3)
  • Your school’s name and email address/telephone number
  • Your parents’ telephone number

Please note: No digital entries will be accepted.

Then send or deliver your picture to:

AACL™ Johannesburg, PO Box 7, Rosettenville, 2130, Gauteng or 59 Alice Street, Regents Park, Johannesburg.
