Ramaphosa woman’s vehicle stolen by a ‘potential’ buyer

Be vigilant as vehicles continue to be stolen in Boksburg

A Ramaphosa woman had her silver Nissan car stolen allegedly by a stranger, who, prior to his disappearance, offered to buy her car.

The unknown man reportedly approached the car owner and said he was considering buying the car. The woman and the potential buyer went for a test drive in the car.

They later parked the car on Market Street and the woman went to Shoprite leaving the car with the stranger.

The stranger followed her and asked for the car keys, and she gave it to him.

When the woman returned to the spot where the car was parked, the car was gone and the man who offered to buy was nowhere to be found. The car is not insured.

* in another case, a Boksburg East man had his Kia truck stolen from the Boksburg city stadium in Jubilee Road on August 31.

The man told the police that he parked the vehicle just before 9am, but when he later returned to the spot it was nowhere to be found.
