Fire victims rebuild their gutted homes

Most of the shacks destroyed in a recent fire in Angelo informal settlement have been rebuilt.

This came after the fire gutted scores of homes and killed one person when it tore through a section of the informal settlement during the early hours of August 24.

Residents who lost all their belongings in the morning blaze were last week found busy knocking in nails, rebuilding their shacks with some of the burnt corrugated iron salvaged from the damaged shacks.
