Take note of show of force initiative by law enforcement

Boksburg North SAPS Sector One CPF, in partnership with emergency services, tow trucks and various security companies, have started a show of force initiative to make communities aware of the role of CPF and law enforcement in the Boksburg area.

You’ve probably heard whaling police sirens and other law enforcement agencies parading in your area of recent, but didn’t know what’s going on.

René Marais, Sector One CPF, said: “We want to build a strong relationship between the public, the CPF and security companies in Boksburg to unite against crime.

“What usually happens during the parades is that we gather at a specific location and then have a mass patrol around the area.

“CPF Sector One’s first show was on July 2 at the corner of Atlas Road and Finch Street, Atlasville. Their next show of force parade will be on August 24 on the corner of North Rand and Rondebult roads, along with a blood drive.”

Marais said during their mass patrol, which is held once a month, they sometimes collect food items for local non-profit organisations.

“On August 1, during our mass patrol, which kicked off on the corner Leith and Elizabeth roads, we collected non-perishable food items that were donated to an NPO called Boksburg Jesus Helpers,” Marais said.
