Customers on metro’s online payment system needs to re-register

The upgraded online system will allow customers to view, manage and pay their municipal accounts conveniently.

The City of Ekurhuleni has upgraded its service payment website – e-Siyakhokha.co.za.

The upgrading resulted in the website address changing to be www.siyakhokha.ekurhuleni.gov.za.

According to metro spokesperson, the upgrades were necessitated by the need to align the platform with the digital city Ekurhuleni aspire to be, and will ultimately result in a service payment platform that is user-friendly and easily accessible.

The old website www.e-siyakhokha.co.za is therefore no longer in use. Instead, customers will now have to log on to www.siyakhokha.ekurhuleni.gov.za.

“Those who have been using the e-Siyakhokha.co.za will have to register on the new website, and new users are also encouraged to register,” said Gadebe.

Why must one register?

  • Secure access to your municipal account online 24/7.
  • To avoid long queues and to be able to access, manage, view and pay your municipal account online.
  • To be able to make payment directly from your internet banking.
  • To be able to interact with the City at your own convenience.
  • To be able to log all municipal-related queries directly online.

To register:

Simply log on to the new website www.siyakhokha.ekurhuleni.gov.za and follow the easy six-step registration process.

Where else can I pay my municipal account?

Pay your municipal account at the following outlets: Customer care centres, Spar, Banks, Pick n’ Pay, Checkers, Pep Stores, Makro and Builders Warehouse.
